OUR SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Waste management is one of the most important topics on the agenda around the world.
As natural resources become fewer, greater pressure is placed on society to protect the environment. This means that we have to find new methods to treat our waste.
It is no longer acceptable that we simply send waste to a landfill where it is buried. And luckily for that – because we can see that it pays to sort and recycle the waste.
As part of this critical industry, Verdis thus makes every effort to work in an environmentally responsible manner. Every year, we deliver many thousands of tonnes of waste to recycling facilities, where the transport of the waste is carried out by maintained trucks, which are increasingly powered by more environmentally friendly fuels such as electricity, gas and biofuel.
ETHICS
Verdis strives to make a positive difference. Both for our customers, employees and the society we are a part of. We conduct business in a manner consistent with fundamental ethical values and with respect for individuals, society and the environment.
Our in-depth ethical guidelines ensure that everyone at Verdis; our board, management and staff in the first row, strive to comply with high ethical requirements in the performance of their work. We expect our business partners to follow the same ethical standards on an equal footing with ourselves.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Health and safety is our first priority. That’s why we always start with safety in everything we do.
We are keen to ensure quality and efficiency in our products and services. This is ensured through a systematic program for quality and safety.
As well as meeting the legal health and safety requirements applicable within the industry, Verdis is committed to achieving a high level of safety throughout the organisation. Our goal is to provide services that are performed responsibly and reliably by professional staff, at lower operating costs and increased safety. Our equipment is constantly maintained, and our employees are regularly trained in safety and health.
To achieve this, we have developed a quality, environment and safety program that complies with all public and internal requirements. Verdis is additionally certified according to ISO 9001: 2015 (Quality), ISO 14001:2015 (Environment) and ISO 45001:2018 (Working environment and safety).
In addition, an audited energy review covering the whole of Verdis A/S is prepared annually. The energy review contributes to providing Verdis A/S with sustainable business practices, documents our active efforts in energy areas and shows our commitment to climate and the environment. The annual energy review is carried out by virtue of the supplementary requirements from ISO 50001 to our certification in ISO 14001.
Our activities are certified: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
